Bayside Community Center, located at 2202 Comstock Street in San Diego’s Linda Vista neighborhood, has been serving the community for over 90 years. With a mission to empower its diverse community, the center offers a wide range of programs and services, with a particular focus on its senior population.

A cornerstone of Bayside’s senior services is its Senior Lunch Program. This congregate meal program provides a hot, nutritious lunch on weekdays in a welcoming, social environment. It’s a place for seniors to connect and build community.

To promote physical wellness and help seniors maintain their independence, Bayside offers free Senior Fitness Classes every Tuesday and Friday. These classes are open to the public and sometimes feature additional activities led by nursing students from the University of San Diego.

Recognizing the importance of staying connected in a digital world, the center provides Senior Tech Basics classes. These workshops aim to help seniors gain confidence and skills in using new technologies, enabling them to maintain connections with loved ones and access online resources.

For recreation and fun, Bayside hosts a free monthly Karaoke event, where all are welcome to sing, clap, and enjoy the music. The center also organizes and hosts various other community events and workshops throughout the year.

In addition to these programs, Bayside Community Center offers essential services such as emergency food distribution, language and forms assistance, and case management.
